Paula Soza-Ossandón 24th International Conference of Racing Analysts and Veterinarians 2026

Paula Soza-Ossandón

I am a veterinarian and PhD specializing in equine medicine, with over 20 years of professional experience, focused on anti-doping, regulatory frameworks, and racehorse welfare. I currently serve as Technical Director of the Chilean Horseracing Authority, leading national efforts in doping control, laboratory coordination, and regulatory compliance across major racetracks. I am also an academic lecturer in equine medicine at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, where I am committed to training future veterinarians in clinical reasoning, welfare, and integrity in sport. My work integrates scientific rigor with regulatory practice, particularly in doping case interpretation and the development of standardized procedures. I am an enthusiastic lifelong learner who value international collaboration and teamwork, and I am especially interested in building partnerships that strengthen horse welfare, racing safety, and the integrity of the sport.
